Phone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus Set to Release on September 22

Apple has announced the all new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus. The new iPhones are faster and include camera improvements, along with a variety of other improvements and interesting features. In terms of appearance, the new iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus share the same general design language as iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus, and thus the iPhone 6 series as well, though the refined color options and glass backing on iPhone 8 models make the the phone look more modern and offer a refined look. Separately, a redesigned iPhone was also announced as the all new iPhone X.

The iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus is a powerful device and includes an improved camera, along with a variety of other interesting features. iPhone 8 starts at $699 comes in 64gb and 256GB size options. iPhone 8 Plus starts at $799 and is available at 64GB and 256GB size configurations as well. Apple will start taking pre-orders for iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus on September 15, with a release date set for September 22.

Apple skipped the S cycle naming of iPhone 7S or iPhone 7S Plus this year and instead went with the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus monicker. Its unclear if an iPhone 7S or iPhone 7S Plus will ever be released, as the iPhone 8 series appears to take their place in the product lineup.
